So much of Christmas spirit from Finland

Last month, my Finnish penpal mailed me the best parcel I've ever received! I had so much fun ripping open the gifts that she specially chose for me as my birthday (I'm a November baby! (≧▽≦)☆) and christmas presents. I felt like a kid once again.

⋙ The awesome big box with many hidden surprises!
⋙ Nicely wrapped gifts for me to differentiate which are for birthday and christmas.

♡ Birthday:

⋙ Not exactly a fan of Moomin, but definitely one who has soft spot for cute stuffs! Ahhhhh~ hahahahaha

♡ Christmas:

⋙ Left is a notebook of Mr. Clutterbuck illustrated by Mauri Kunnas'. I can't bear to use so I shall just keep it as a collection for the time being.

⋙ Karl Fazer Christmas chocolates! Really yummy!!! (๑´ڡ`๑)♡

⋙ Finland's Postcrossing stamps! Definitely worth adding to collection!

This isn't all from my Finnish penpal. All thanks to her, my Christmas last year felt different too. She infested so much of Christmas festive to me. For the first time, I felt a new excitement for Christmas, other than just exchanging gifts, eating turkey and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ which are commonly seen in Singapore. In Finland, Christmas is a big festive for them, just like Chinese New Year for the Chinese. Hence, this should also tell the difference in the celebration.

⋙ Special Christmas postmark!

Last summer, she placed an order to get "Santa" to mail me! This is just so exciting! I knew Santa doesn't exist but I didn't know there is a Santa Claus Village and also a place where reindeers can be seen running around. Simply the best place to feel the Christmas aura and be a kid once again!

Honestly, anything about and related to Santa really sound like a bedtime story to me in the past. I thought they are just fictional stories and just that. I've also never ponder where reindeers live and such. Maybe due to where I live. Since now I knew there is a place like this, I really want to visit it someday! *insert to bucket list*

⋙ A mail from "Santa" in Santa Claus Village.
Thank you so much for sharing the Christmas spirit, Jenny! It is really interesting to learn about Christmas in Finland that I don't observe in Singapore. The Christmas traditions sound really fun but I don't know if I can survive the freezing temperature to experience it in Finland! (〃▽〃)
